whats the difference in the blue vs orange blades? thinking of getting the 8" orange convertible one - I like the idea that if my drill battery ever dies I can just use it as a hand auger

Niko, you have one of the new electrics? How did you like it? I was thinking if I made the expensive jump to power I would go propane but interested in your thoughts.

I just ordered it over the weekend. I figured I allready had the heavy duty drill for it so why bother with a gas motor. Tim Moore was at mass bass the other night and said he does 60-80 holes a day with his drill

My biggest caution/recommendation with the Nils is to keep a spare cutting head... when they go dull..it happens quickly... which seems to happen most when there is no snow cover to keep blowing sand off the ice.... and getting them sharpened can take a few weeks in season...
