I liked being able to give that to a couple friends that told me "an IPA is an IPA." and there was no difference in taste. They did such a good job with it, making each one have a distinct taste.

Remember when harpoon IPA came out and everyone thought it was a hoppy IPA?? Times have changed.

Scratch59,
Thanks very much for the Heady Topper and Lagunitas. I'm drinking the Laguintas now after a long day at the CSA event. Very good, definitly has a unique taste and probably the most aromatic IPA I've had so far. Waiting to drink the Heady Topper when my wife is home so we can share it. It says to drink the Topper from the can - is that just a cliche or is it better that way? Nice speaking with you and hope you put the eelbob to good use. Freeze it or put it in some brine until the season starts.
Thanks again.
DZ

I'd drink it from the can if it's your first one.

Absolutely from the can! Pour a little into a glass so you appreciate the color/etc. I had one in the church parking lot... god I love that beer...

The Sucks is really a terrific beer. I'm adding that to my seasonal pining cycle right after Celebration.

If you like those two I have 2-3 more "gift packs" to send your way.

In sipping away at a lagunitas sucks right now and am in heaven.

You should enjoy beers from the can because the co2 stays in the can and prevents the beer from oxidation.. Or in other words if you pour it into a glass, the o2 in the air will slowly alter the flavors.
Plus, the alchemist doesn't filter the heady topper, so they don't want you to see any hops floaters in it that we're left over from the massive dry hopping process.

You want to co commando?? Order some whole leaf simcoe hops from northern brewer. Then buy a new French press. Pour about a cup of hops in the press, then pour your IPA in the press and let it steep for about one minute, then press and pour into a pint glass.

I've done something quite similar.
