Why change now? Hell you've made it this far!

I have reduced to amount of gear I have down tremendously to a bare minimum, and I couldn't be happier... I was VERY honest with myself, and assessed HOW and WHAT I fish and use, and got rid of all the stuff I bought, but just never use. If I end up needing something that bad, I will buy it before I need it... But I'm tired of sifting through mountains of gear and plugs and everything else, season after season, and not using it... so my approach to lets say... plugs and lures: haven't thrown it in 2-3 seasons? GONE. Rods... keep a few backups, but the back up for backups? GONE.... you get the point. I like to call it efficiency...

After we finally kick the bucket, I wonder how much of our highly cherished fishing tackle and valuable "collectibles" has been thrown into the trash over the years by widows happy to finally get rid of our Junk? Nationwide, probably in the tens of millions of $$$ every year.

My middle son gets all my goodies, even have it in my will, my other two boys are computer nerds and wouldn’t know a spinning reel from a pepper grinder. I’ve already given him a couple custom rods to enjoy ahead of that day, since I can’t fish them all.
