Hey Bill, always sad to hear about stuff like this.

hardcore from shore 02-20-2013 10:46 AM

Thanks, he is still strong and doing well. I was visiting him 2 weeks ago and we were in his shop and he had his hammer and was knocking the brass tulips of door handles off so I could take some scrap metal for him. He still keeps busy. Doing it on his terms at age 92. He just has lot's of great old tools and stuff that I will probably not use so selling is best option.

Nothing sad about a 92 year old who is still scrapping!
Sounds like the deep end of the gene pool for you.

Think you can shoot some pics of the tools my way? You said you already had them right?

zimmy 02-20-2013 03:02 PM

pics of the Bob Cat please. Do you know what he wants for it?

Jackbass 02-20-2013 04:51 PM

clamps (these wood clamps go for $20 each either new or more as antiques). I kept a few and my daughter has one that she says reminds her of Grandpa Bills shop. Everyone should have some of these.

Pipe clamps and C's belong in any shop as well.

more photos. He also has a much larger R. L. Carter Router.

He would like $200 for the staging, wheels and platforms, $150 for the snowblower and best offer for other items. All is negotiable . Serious potential buyers can see the items at his house in Brockton. That can be arranged through me at 617 694 0723. I just want to manage and limit the disruption. Though he and my mom can see visitors preferably day time. I would like to bundle as much to a few buyers if possible.

As far as Plugfest for this year I am sending Slipknot one of his plugs to enter as he does not travel anymore.

Bill

If I were closer I would take the snow blower. I don't need it, but they are such good machines. If there is someone that needs a snow blower, the Bob Cat is far superior to almost anything you could buy today. They launch the snow a mile. If you have a snowblower that clogs, bogs down, or struggles with wet snow, you may want to get this and sell your other blower.

You're right. That Bobcat has a unique two stage auger system that you just don't find in any of the newer snow blowers. Too costly a design for most of them now.

Interested in the snow blower. I'm out of town until Saturday.

How's the Bobcat run?

ilovetwofish 02-22-2013 05:26 AM

I am interested in the snowblower, does it run, when was the last time it was started. I live in RI but in mass during the day.

hardcore from shore 02-22-2013 09:06 AM

snowblower ran last season

It is a pull starter and too hard for my dad. Call me if you want to come by and see it or try it. I believe someone wants to come by an look at it this weekend as well. I am at 617 694 0723.

ilovetwofish 02-22-2013 04:07 PM

Thanks I fixed mine today, if it's still around down the road I may be interested.

hardcore from shore 02-23-2013 03:12 PM

The snowblower is now sold. Still lots of great tools. Look at the pictures and make me offers. Staging still available too.
Thanks for all the interest so far.

Bill and I cannot make plugfest, but if anyone is interested in some shop tools, please mention this classified site to them. Have some serious interest in the clamps and and the belt/disc sander but lots of other great stuff still available.
Thanks,
Bill
