Yet another sealer question - Helmsman/MS

Sorry for yet another question here guys, but if i seal with Helmsman Spar/MS mix - what are the safety issues I need to be aware of? It seems to me that this is one the less volatile/toxic sealers I can use?

Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks

I believe you are correct that HS/MS is probably the safest choice for sealing.

Think of the odors/ gasses produced by any sealing product as if it were cold air. It sinks, so if you can, seal in an outdoor shed, garage that is level with the ground or higher, or a walkout basement. If your basement is recessed, those fumes have no way to escape.

Using fans, opening windows or having a ventilation system are all good safeguards to your health and that of anyone living where you live, including pets.

The Helman's gives off a bit of order. I've been trying to wear a respirator when doing all steps but I always crack the basement door open a bit.
