Nice coloring Vic. did you do the reelseat ?

ThrowingTimber 07-14-2015 03:33 PM

Thanks Billy, I did not paint the long nut reel seat, Fishing workshop Matagi sells the painted reel seats. Pages 68, 69 and 70 list the color options they can paint on any fuji reel seat:

Did those decals come with the blank or do you have a fancy printer. Guides.....k frame all the way or just the stripper. Chrome or titaniuam. Love the foregrip. You will spot that a mile away if someone decided to steal it....

No fancy printer, blanks come like that already.

No k guides, I set it up with a set of kguides initially but the footprint on them is huge and they weigh too much, made it super tip heavy (even with the 20k stella it wouldnt balance well). No, Ti guides either for this application the stress put on the guides will buckle the Ti frames because the rings are actually harder than the Ti frames themselves.

Just standard gun smoke fuji mnsg guides and mnst tip top, I've had the gun smokes hold up real well washing and rinsing after trips and the occasional doc martins clear shoe wax for winter storage.

I try and build all my own rods and none are real "loud" this one can be spotted from a good distance :)
