There's a free app for that on most smartphones

does it have to be 89?

I have a TI 80-something that I used for calculus... To be honest its 15 years old now, but still works.

You can have it if it helps.

That's true, but I'd be willing to bet that most schools won't allow smartphones out during a test. Which would leave the op's daughter without the use of one during test days.

According to my daughter a TI-89 is required for the course, thanks for the offer...

Ouch! I got my son a TI84 for $85 on sale at Walmart at the beginning of the year but I don't see any deals now. I would definitely get the model the teacher recommended because they actually use an image of it on the smart board while teaching. When you do get it tell her to watch it like a hawk and ingrave it becuase I have a co-worker whose son got his ripped off. Good Luck!

I just saw this on ebay for sale and it looked like a good deal $67 buy it now from high rated seller

There are others going for even less.

What is the difference between the different model numbers? The end result is the same.

Instructors specify models so they can teach everyone in class at the same time. One model , one lesson. Been there.
