Klobuchar gaining steam

As much as the DNC tries to ignore and upstage her with unelectable stooges, Klobubuchar remains the only viable candidate the Dems can offer to the national stage. I wonder when the braintrust will start to pay attention...

scottw 02-12-2020 04:26 AM

I heard Joe called her a dirty, lying, one-eyed, dog-faced pony soldier...or something

you’ve been talking about her for awhile, maybe i wrote her off too soon.

not sure she has the money to
compete with Bloomberg for the non-crazy-socialist vote in the primaries. We’ll see.

The DNC apparatus desperately wants Bloomberg to be seen as the viable alternative to Sanders and Buttigeig.

From Ronnie's trolling thread last week:
My response...

'Honest' answers (I'm a lib, I must lie according to RR), in order of preference. This is from the available candidates, I would prefer someone else, but it is what it is.
1. Biden
2. Klobachar
3. Buttigieg

Ultimately, I think she is a solid VP choice rather than at the top, but she has some good positions as a moderate that could do well in a general.

I have a little different order two three and then one. I think Buttigieg is impressive but inexperienced and Young. .

if the economy holds ( which it may not) you have problems with the field running on the left. i don’t see any of them having mass appeal in swing states. this field is designed to win big in San Francisco and Manhattan, not much thought given to FL and NC and OH.

But I said the same exact thing in 2008, and I was laughably wrong. Bernie is no Obama, but Buttigieg just might be.

If Bernie is the leading delegate getter going into the convention, and they broker the nomination to Bloomberg, I can’t imagine the liberal reaction.

Sanders, Warren, or Bloomberg - I will actively, happily, and decisively vote for Trump.

Klobuchar is mildly appealing and might not destroy the country. Unsure on Pete.

I doubt that she can reign in the Progressive desire to pretty much gut the 1A and 2A. Her judicial nominations would also reflect that. I have voted for the person in the primary election. But I have long dispensed with the notion of voting for the person in the general election. Klobuchar and Pete will have to execute their Party's will. The Progressive agenda is the driving force of the Democrat Party. Your desire to protect what's left of the Constitution would not be in good hands if either of them were elected along with a Democrat Congress.

Good thing all those women marched in Washington inauguration weekend to protest all those rights they’ve lost since then too.

and it's not moderately progressive either, it’s extreme. In 2008 when Obama won, Bernie was considered a lunatic on the fringe with zero support outside of a tiny, all white state populated mostly by Woodstock hippies.

It’s stunning what TDS has done to that party. Stunning. Pete Buttigueg, who wants abortions for
any reason until birth, open borders, and legalized heroin possession, is a moderate.

If that’s what passes for
moderate in today’s democrat party, they could be in serious trouble. Because you’re not the only one who won’t cross that line.

if the democraps want to beat trump in november they need to get tulsi and AOC to run as a ticket and campaign in bikinis... jello wrestling each other at each campaign stop...that's really the only chance they have to draw anyone's interest at this point...

Typical response for those who see Trump via the market and the economy, because now it counts ..

Funny never heard Trump supporters question his reported job number :drevil:

rphud 02-15-2020 09:43 AM

I think Carville is on to something, less than 20% of the voting public elects over 50% of the Senate. Could end up with 4 years of no government action depending on the presidential election.

Bloomberg has the Dem ticket, money rules. If he has Amy as VP, that’ll make this a race.

if Trump keeps winning these democrat debates they might have to make him their nominee :rotf2:

bloomberg got destroyed in the debate last night, who knows what effect that will have. i agree, any democratic male candidate is going to have to have a female VP. If it’s bloomberg, they run the risk of alienating the bernie supporters. if those people stay home, trump wins in a landslide.

Bloomberg was awful, how he wasn’t prepared with a response is beyond me, but I still think he’ll buy his way in.

He brought his wallet to a gun fight. It didn’t work.

It may well end up working, but it didn’t work in that debate.
