Echo chain saw

Needed a saw, as I had two clients with limbs on their roofs. I have had a love hate relationship with my old saw, IF I could get it to start. So I went to the local HD and picked up an Echo CS 310 chain saw with 14" bar. Quick review of the instx. Mix up some fuel (engine oil included in box for one gallon of mix). Add bar oil (instx don't really say much about this essential step) and off I went. Probably 2 hours of actual cutting/carrying saw. Rest of time was dragging cut limbs away. Saw is very good and easy to operate, right out of the box. Weight is right. Length of this blade was all I needed, and all I would see myself needing. I did install the tip guard, but will probably remove it, as I do with many tool guards...table saw, weedwhacker, mitersaw.....
So, for $199.99, I give this saw five stars, with limited use. Wish it came with a case, but will see if it fits in old saw's case and throw the old saw on classifieds.... I also have an Echo string trimmer, back pack and hand held blowers. All have performed and held up as professional grade products.

I have the echo handheld blower and it is the best handheld I have ever used.

Funny, I've an Echo handheld blower -- probably the same one -- that I treat like crap and it just keeps working. Same goes for Husqvarana.

What was/is the old saw? Why did you have trouble starting it? I use fuel stabilizer in my saws, as some get used more than others. I used to only put it in the ones that sit but now I use it in all. I guess its like anything else, if you don't use it often we don't maintain it properly. I can't tell you the last time I put any maintenance/service into the tiller, blower, power washer....all things i hardly use.
