Great job Scott Brown.

I heard this is being seen as the end of liberalism. Scott Brown is being invited to the UK to be knighted by the Queen of England.

The Dems still hold a massive 59 seat majority in the Senate mind you...

uh yeah spence, its not really a big deal that TED KENNEDY, the lion of the senate, was replaced with a republican. I am sure this doesnt send any message to other Dems up for reelection this year. Not a big deal.

Nebe 01-20-2010 10:30 AM

The key should be to vote out all long sitting senators and congressmen. Get all of them out and start fresh.

Kerry is sweatin bullets. He will have some real headwinds come election day.

Happy day's will be here again:uhuh:

I hope the dems try and push this healthcare bill thru prior to Browns arrival...Not that I like the bill but I think it will be the undoing of the party and show a lot of true colors.

Raven 01-20-2010 11:33 AM

poor LIL M

Martha Croakley should take Joe Lieberman by the hand
and head to some distant land never to be heard from again...

Ted Kennedy was a substantial Senator, Coakley was a joke.

The voters aren't stupid.

Perhaps they should have found a more worthy replacement.

it had nothing to do with Coakley.

I'm somewhere between you and Spence on this Jimmy...
I think a better candidate would have squeaked out a 52/48 victory, but still would have been a 'message' to the white house....

Representative Barney Frank (D-Mass.) watched one of his state's Senate seats, long held by the Democrats, won by Republican Scott Brown during a special election on Tuesday.

Afterward, Frank issued a statement expressing disappointment and conceding that the party's approach to health care "is no longer appropriate."

I heard you were being invited to Keith Olberman's MSNBC studio so he can "knight" you with his sword.

How long to you think there's going to be the "massive 59 seat majority" Spence? People are tired of the Limousine Liberals telling them that they know what's best for them. The incumbents have to start listening and paying attention to what the public wants, not what they think is best for everyone based on how much they get from lobbyists.

Kind of interesting he was critiquing her campaign after she lost. Before hand would not say anything. Frank should go as well our HERO.

What? The Dems voted for her in the Primary to represent them.

JohnnyD 01-20-2010 02:05 PM

She was a terrible candidate, fighting a campaign based on last year's battle strategy.

When the House and Senate are controlled by Dems, a "don't vote for that Republican" approach isn't going to work.

Liberals are brutal cannibals when things don't go their way. Last night prior to the polls closing they were already slitting Coakley's throat. So let's get this straight...so far this year:

Creigh Deeds....bad candidate
Jon Corzine.....bad candidate
Martha Coakley....bad candidate

...I see a trend!
