Pats VS Ravens
Gonna be a great game. If the same team shows up, I can't see the Ravens, or any of the remaining teams beating them. Big "IF". The defense still scares the hell out of me. Ravens D, scares me as well. I was fortunate enough to score tickets to the game, FREE, anyone else on S-B going?

I think it will be a great game. the D must show up but every on this team pivots around brady's performance. If he's "on" we win , if not , well .....
|
Should be a good game for sure. Hoping the O line will be able to hold off the Ravens D. They know Brady cant throw the ball from the ground. Their secondary is good enough to cover in a man defense and can make up ground in the zone. But if the Ravens can come up with an attack that gets them to Brady we're going to have a problem. The good thing is the Ravens have Flacco behind center...thats a Patriots advantage all day.

Pats coaches have been working their magic .. I think they are still getting better as a team and it's in our house .. I'll be with friends watching ..

LONG LIVE THE MAGIC!

Not going to this one...I like the Pats in a close one 24-20

I refuse to comment because I haven't been able to pick a winner in weeks....I'm just gonna sit back and hopefully smile

Saw Welker on TV yesterday. he wants all Pats fans to grow a mustache for the game on Sunday. :) I think its to bust Flacco's balls. Surprised he didn't get in trouble with Bill for that . He has history so hard to claim its innocent. Anyway , i already have a mustache so I'm all set! :)

If they lose the "O" line needs to pummel him and then feed him to Wilfork |
My wife is going. She got an invte last night from a vendor. AIG luxury box! I'll be hosting a small get together at our house. Can't wait! Pats win 28-17 but do all their scoring in the second half after spotting the Ravens 14 in the first half.

Anyway , as I run this game through my head , its that slwo start that scares me the most. I want them to come out and crush them right off the bat like they did Denver! :) |

Keys to the game:
Pressure Flacco If you win the toss take the ball D line has to control and stop the run Anderson is going to have a big game. No huddle offense, it burns out the opposing D quickly they can't keep up with it |
I think there is some value to kicking if you win the toss so that you get the ball to start the second half. Now if there is some field advantage like a strong wind or poor lighting at sunset you need to take that into account too. I also see where getting the ball and scoring on the first drive of the game is a good stategy if you pull it off. To me , the advantage to getting the ball to start the second half is that you get to make adjustments at halftime based on player and coaching input based on what happened in the first half and what they learned from it upon analysis. I think that makes scoring on the first drive of the second half more likely than on the first drive of the first half.

Two things I would like to see scripted in Pats gameplan;
Short pass to Gronk across the middle that would put him and Ed Reed on a head on full speed confrontation. Gronk would be looking to attack Reed in this scenario. I have my opinion as to who wins that. One of our tight ends positioned to pick up Lewis on the blitz when he doesn't see them coming, ie. from slot or backfield. These are their two leaders, but are also their two older players on defense. If we could lay the wood to those two Ravens early and often, it will take the steam out of their defensive attack. |
I just don't want to see the Ravens still hanging around into the 4th quarter...I want to enjoy the end of the game with minimal stress...

Pats have to spread the field, forget the run for the first 10 minutes. Then go w/ a back, play action playaction play action. They have a number of backs that offer different looks. Dink and dunk all day. Keep the ravens offense of the field for a long time. I know, sounds crazy, but they are getting old, run the D down early in the game so they are s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g wind in the 4th. Thats when you break them open. So far as the D for the Pats, stack the line early and often rush everyone, the cb's can hang w/ these wr's, bring chung over the top for the puto's sprinting down the field
