You're not drinking enough beer.

PRBuzz 02-10-2010 05:16 PM

I couldn't wait for the beer to work, so switched to Scotch! "Liquor does it quicker"

Ya but you're still posting from your iPhone/Mobile device.

Only lots of beer will make that go away.I recommend Harpoon UFO Pale Ale in good quantity.

Just noticed I'm in a worse case scenario: NO BEER!

Off to the Beer Store for a case of Guinness (cans) and Sam Adams. I wonder if they still have Winter Lager? Anyone try the new Noble Pils? I'm not a fan, just not my style of brew.

Yes, Noble Pils is absolutely great. I almost cried when I saw that it said "Seasonal" on the side of the carton.

Anybody at Exteme Beer fest this past weekend? Good show, but not quite as good as the Belgian Beer Fest. Had some Utopia just so I could say, "Yeah, I've had that". Russian River was there with Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger. Sierra with a 1994 batch of Big Foot, and some Hoptimum. Place from Michigan that had something just about identical to Pliny the Elder. Stone, Dogfishead, Weyerbacher....talk about died and went to beer heaven. These things are the best if you ever get the chance to go. American Craft Beer Fest is way too crowed compared to these. Only 1000 in the door at a time me thinks, and all the beers/tables are very accessible.

The local bar has it on tap.Haven't tried it yet.

basswipe 02-28-2010 09:41 AM

Longtrail Pale Ale is pretty decent.

Still though I have yet to find a beer that tops the UFO Pale Ale. Coddington's Golden Ale comes close.

striperman36 02-28-2010 09:42 AM

What local bar Benjamin's?

Maybe these brewers have stumbled onto something:

Anybody up for American Craft Beer Fest in Boston June 19th?

Maybe a (smallish) S-B rally and joint sampling tour (400 beers and plenty of beer education)? I am thinking the first session on Sat afternoon, but may change my mind based on advanced scouting info depending on what I hear.

PRBuzz 03-06-2010 08:50 AM

My son bought me the book "The Good Beer Guide to NE" by A Crouch. I plugged all the pubs into my GPS as waypoints so whenever I'm out cruising and get near one I make it a point to stop in.
