I'll take this pending a few questions

spence 01-13-2012 04:09 PM

I had this same CMS rod, assuming it's their stock.

Great all around and decent price.

Allstar 1208's are rated 2-6oz.

6? No way...1 might be a little light but I'd think 4 ounces for a plug or jig would be tops.

I think Big Bo is correct .. That's a great stick .. If I didn't just get layed off I'd be on it ... Allstar <----

BigBo 01-13-2012 05:11 PM

Allstar blank chart 1208 is definitely rated 2-6oz

5oz is pushing it....but if that is what it is rated, it is what it is.
Great rod though....
BTW...SOLD pending payment.

BigBo 01-13-2012 05:14 PM

I'm just saying that if that blank is a 1-4oz, it's probably not an Allstar.
I have no doubt it's a nice rod as CMS builds excellent rods that are hard to beat for the dough.

Mugz 01-13-2012 05:18 PM

I just assumed the rating....it's an AllStar. That's what I bought from CMS.
I just don't have documentation.

CMS usually puts their own ratings on the rods they build. I'd trust them before the catalog.

Whatever spence.
It's been my experience that Allstar was always pretty accurate with their ratings.
But I know how much you like to argue and disagree with everyone, so if you say so.

Dude, I owned and fished this same rod for several years. It was my go to stick.

Silly argument, I still think it's a great deal on a great all around rod.

I have thrown 6 and a chunk on a 1208 no problem.
