Old cabinet question

What would be a good way to go about saving the wood from old old cabinets that have 3-4 layers of paint in them.

Surface Planner?
Stripper?
Burn em?

STRIP a corner
if it's just pine ...not worth it
oak yes
any other hardwood generally yes
otherwise cabinet doors are free on craig's list

Unless there's something special about the cabinets...vintage doors etc...I can't imagine what you'd get from the work to strip the wood. Also how old? If pre-1980's...

Take them to a salvage renovation store as is. Get a store credit for something you can use.
