Epoxy sealer

Sitting here bored out my ass.... Can't fish, can't work..
Had minor knee surgery. Any how my question is. Has anyone ever tried sealing a plug with garage floor epoxy sealer or attempt to top coat clear one either the garage floor clear epoxy. Curious its like $100 for a gal. Wich is pricey, but it does say extreme scratch and chip protection. Just thought I'd ask.
. Would be nice if they sold small samples just to see if it is worth it...
Thanks Rene

No, not tried that but it is most likely just like other epoxy, you have to remember, under the epoxy floor stuff is a very hard concrete surface, that has a lot to do with their claim of durability. Plugs made from wood are not even close to being that hard. The scratching sharp hooks are usually the enemy to our epoxy, or smashing of rocks. I know this from building a stitch and glue boat with epoxy, that it takes 3 coats to waterproof. There definately are some industrial epoxies which are better than others. I just keep it simple when I clear my plugs and use envirotex on a spinner, one coat usually.
