Anyone try any? Thoughts? Have any local recommendations?

I've had Lambics before.....don't really float my boat......they are OK but you REALLY have to be in the mood for one...IMHO

About the only Lambics I like are Cherry and raspberry. A friend of mine used to brew some really strong dark beers then use huge amounts of Cherries for flavor and the lambic yeast. the beers were very good. the big issue for home brewers is once you bring lambic yeast into your brewing equipment , its hard to get rid of it. There will be a hint of lambic taste in all your beers for a long time , potentially years.

Anyway , if you want to try lambics , look for Kriek (Cherry) or Framboise (raspberry).
