Great Day Guys!
Another great day on the water with good friends. I went into this season with plans to try to fish with as many friends as I could and not put it off any longer as you just never know what tomorrow may bring? Well we got another dose of why we need to just get out and fish while you can when we returned today and found out that we lost a very good friend in Bob Samuelson this morning. Its sobering to say the least. I for one cherish every moment we get out there together guys!
What a gorgeous day it was today as we headed out thru Hull Gut over towards PA and then back thru the gut over to Bumpkin Island! Finally got to cross 2 great guys off my "Want To Fish With" list in BigBo and The Dad Fisherman......a pleasure guys! TDF got a nice 33 incher on tube and worm (congrats Kevin)! BigBo in his maiden voyage on his Pro Angler Hobie caught a short and looked pretty happy in his new sled despite a few mechanical setbacks! :) Tagger (Steady Eddie), Kenny (I Need A Nap), Fishchick and myself took the skunk but had a fabulous day out there! We will get them cornered soon I know it!!!) I will post some pics tomorrow........long day. Thanks again guys and watch the new thread for next Saturday!:uhuh: |
It was a great day, a lot of fun but my arms are jello right now from all that paddling....did the math on google maps....8 miles today
33"????......I think Eddie is looking at it through fishernan's goggles :hihi:.......I really doubt it hit 33" Thanx again for letting me crash at your house...you and Angie were the most gracious of hosts. Enjoyed the beverages and the Tour of the Man Cave. I'll have to return the favor.....fall blitzes should be starting up around here reeeaaallll soon |
I have had 2 guests at my house of late, both gentlemen and I consider them good friends! Kevin the pleasure was all ours! Its Sunday morning now.......I think that fish might have gone 38 inches????:rotf2:

As everyone else, I had a great time even in spite of my mechanical problems. Got to meet and fish with some good people and looking forward to more.
Hearing the news about Bob was really a blow for us when we got back. But, as we said, it really puts things into perspective to appreciate days like we had yesterday. Good bye Bob. You will be missed by many. I'm glad to have known you even for a short couple years. RIP. :( Eddie, that's a great shot of Peddocks Island at morning light. Here's a couple I took. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSCF0599.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSCF0598.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSCF0597.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSCF0596.jpg |

That problem is solved and corrected. I think I may have a solution for the quirky rudder steering problems. I'm working on a modification. Obviously Hobie has acknowledged a problem existed and they have come out with an upgrade for the 2011 Pro Anglers. I'll have my own (I hope) upgrade soon. |
