Belgrade Pike action
 

Had a fun weekend up in that region. First time going for pike. Action was good in the mornings and late afternoon. I think the family that thought it was great fun to set up right next to us and spent both days doing donuts on ATVs kiboshed the peak bite hours :fury: They complained to us that they didn't have any bites at all... wonder why?

Anyway, live and dead ~5" shiners did the trick, both on the bottom and suspended. Biggest we caught was around 9#, but there were bigger around... Two shacks over got a 19# on Saturday.

Caught my first pike, so can check that off the list.

nice.. that's good action..pike fishing is nortoriosly slow..

We got nine over the two days of fishing, with about as many drops. I bet it's a great place to fish on a weekday.

I bet.... when i fished them regualrly.. we'd set dead and live baits and leave the ice.. or get away as far as possible.. quieter the better...

I lost the desire to chase them for what ever reason..
