Fishing is still on a roll!!!!

Well we had a chance to go out yesterday and play by ourselves for a change and we took our friend and Client Pam Kearney with us.

It took us a little while to get macks yesterday but we had some already from the day before so we fished while we jigged for macks. We put 2 mackerel out to troll and in the 1st five minutes Bill & I doubled up, Bill's fish weighed 28 lbs and mine weighed 31 lbs on our digital scale. Was a fun double as Bill & I have not fished that much by ourselves this season as we have been a bit busy so it was a great way to start the day.

We took a few pictures and then it was Pam's turn up to bat and not 15 min later she gets a nice 25 lb which Bill thru back before I got the picture!!! LOL Pam said no problem she will just get a bigger one. We only had 2 macks left so we went to look for bait and it was slim pickings, one of our friends out there gave us a few he had left and we went back to fishing. It was so nice and flat calm by then, we waited for the tide to turn but the bite slowed down. Only managed a few more bass between 18 & 20 lbs. Some days those calm water, bright sunny days are for fishermen not fishing.

We also came across some big schools of pogies outside and did manage to snag a bunch of those so it was pissa to get that bait and man were they big. I put a few pictures up so you can see the size of the baits we have been using. One thing about baits that size is you eliminate the smaller fish because they can't eat the big bait.

The fishing continues to be really good out there with more bait and fish moving in every day, if you are looking for that bass of a lifetime now is your shot, so give us a call if you want to get out there and rip some lips.

Tight lines for now!!!
