JPEG upload, not!

JPEG upload for attachment to posts doesn't seem to work for me from an iPad, they're under 1Meg....
I'm pretty sure I remember being able to do this earlier "dah"....
What's up? Any ideas?

resize them to 800 by 600 pixels first

Easy to rotate first in photo edit software most operating systems have as standard now and then save.
