Ed Mcmahon dies at 86

Heeeeeeeres Johnny.

In addition to the Johnny Carson show , ed was famous for his Publishers clearing house ads as well as many others. I think he also hosted a talent show or something once? A good straight man for Carson and from interviews I saw he was always classy when asked about other people. Always tried to say something nice or got out of answering gracefully.

Anyway , he died last night.

He used to host "Star Search" which was the original "Americas Got Talent" type of show.

Also did a stint with #^&#^&#^&#^& Clark with one of those "Bloopers" shows.

Not to put a sour note on his passing, but when my brother told me this morning, the first thing I said was "Did we get a notice from Publisher Clearing House?":scream:

He also did a lot of work with Jerry Lewis's MD telethon.
He was a class act.
