So, what are you fishing from?

Just picked up a Tarpon 140 over the winter, and she is ready for fish...I just wanted to get an idea of what everyone else is fishing from

Tarpon 140 being delivered tomorrow. Picking up a rigged Heritage 14 Fisherman from Beachwalker when we can arrange to meet. This avenue of fishing has me as excited to fish as I can remember.....

Here's my fleet.

Nice rigging on the T140. Are you going to use the RAM tubes for outriggers or just for rods?

I got a new boat this year. It is a liquidlogic manta ray 12. It did not come with any gear, but the rep said they designed it to have plenty of flush areas to mount things and is also designed after the tarpon 120 and 140. It is a nice boat and an alternative to the Tarpon 120 or 140.

http://liquidlogicmantaray.blogspot.com/ If you want to see what I'm talking about. The rep also said to expect an angler version next year.

Necky Santa Cruz. Sink type yak like it a lot . Handles rough conditions very well. FishHawk

The RAM tubes are just for the T & W, I have a forward rod holder as well for my casting rod.

I just got thru setting up a trolley from the front to the rear of the yak so that i can place my drift sock right where I want it. I shock corded one end and fix on the other. I will snap off some pics, it came out pretty slick...

The 14ft version of the Manta Ray (my boat) holds 400. I'm around 260 and i have the 12 foot that holds 350. Also those numbers are a little off. I've used boats rated for 250 and even 240 so its not a huge deal.

I've never been in one, but bought a Heritage Angler 9 1/5 foot. I will "play' on it for an hour or so at a time in hingham harbor & the rivers ,etc. I will use it by myself & need to sling it up on my explorer.

Old Town Loon (12') big cockpit, comfortable enough for hunting, fishing, clamming. Fresh and salt. Just love them landlocked rocky areas.

Prowler 15 Angler Edition- Bright Yellow:cheers:

Wee Hooker 05-07-2006 07:50 PM

Ok, I'm new here ( but not to SW Fishing and/or from a Yak).
Been fishing a Pungo Classic for 7 years or so. Picked up a Loon 138 somewhere inbetwen for a spare. Got a Tarpon 140 Angler last fall to see if/what I was missing in a SOT. So far, the old Pungo is still my favorite.
