&^%$&^&^%&^ SNOW!!!!!!!!!

Wife scheduled to be at the hospital tomorrow... 6AM for knee replacement. WTF!!!!!!!!

Got Stripers 03-12-2018 07:42 AM

Hear on the coast in Plymouth we are usually seeing rain, but it appears the cross hairs are on us for this one. And of course I had used the break to rake and get 90% of my spring cleanup done, hope its just some stick pick up this time around. Last time around between two trees in my yard and two from neighbors coming into my yard, I had enough fun time.

Finally going to get a chance to try out the new snow blower. Been sitting idle since I bought it.

My mom gets in to TFG from a week in Aruba late tonight - expecting to drive back to Cape - looks like I am picking her up instead and shoveling her car out tomorrow.

Just spent the better part of three days (and 100 buck fee ) cutting up and hauling to the dump blow downs from the last two big blows,,,,

Enough already!

Best to the Mrs. Joe....

It’s New England.

If they'd only ban storms... nobody needs 2 feet of snow.

Well, had the option to postpone, and wife took it. Wasn't bad out this AM afterall... but alas, it wasn't my call.

Got Stripers 03-13-2018 08:55 AM

We lost power for a few minutes and based on the wet sticky snow we are getting by the coast in Plymouth, I might have to break out the ellipse hot spot soon if the router goes down. Can't even see out the windows with all the snow plastered on them.

Got Stripers 03-13-2018 11:49 AM

Plymouth is down now, no power for the past hour.

Guppy 03-13-2018 04:44 PM

No power here, been out since mid morning.....

10" of slush out there ,,,

What do ya do without tv in the evening? ( remember I'm over the hill) :-)

Got Stripers 03-13-2018 05:34 PM

Power back, but my back is junk, even the snow blower would move 1-1/2" of slush, covered in 2-3" of wet packed snow. Glad I shoveled before the freeze, I'd have needed an ice axe to find the car and truck.

We're still in South Carolina. Were coming home next week but I'm cancelling that. Please post when this BS stops at home. Until then....9:38 Tee time.

I'm sitting here, 350 miles south of the Arctic Circle, laughing my ass off because, it rained on Tuesday.:rotf3:

MAKAI 03-15-2018 03:04 PM

Ughhh !!
What really blows about snow for me. I hand shovel out 2 elderly neighbors driveways after my own each time it snows. No spot for a snowblower to throw it. Usually get plowed in a few times to boot. Each storm is a lost days pay and 8-10 hours of tempting cardiac arrest. Can’t find any fat kids to get out of the basement video game parlor to make a few bucks.
Different world now, as a kid there’d be an army of us out there every snow storm.

I'm in Kingston MA and the pine tree situation here is unreal. I've never seen such widespread carnage. 40 footers dropping everywhere. Even though I enjoy having a permanent scent of chain/bar oil and pine another wind and wet snow event would suck here. Opening day 2 weeks away!

Read the other day that Finnish people are the happiest in the world

I don't know about happiest myself, but the Finnish sure make sweet rifles, their machining is top notch and accurate as hell.

This last storm put a dangerous 65 foot maple leaning on my shed with no way to cut it down to the ground safely. I emptied the shed mostly and will wait for a professional.
