randy moss?!

...with the addition of randy moss...and the other off-season moves, this is looking like the most dominant pats team in a long time (at least on paper...if bellichick can make it work, this should be a fun season...what do y'all think?

MarshCappa 04-29-2007 05:27 PM

I Think it's awesome. Can't be any worse than Dillon was lableled when he got here. We have totally reloaded. 4th round pick, are you kidding me no brainer!

Are you kidding me, "flaming right now"
Maybe from the sunburn I got today while jigging up a ton of cod on the Ave Maria today!!!,
(hard to believe you can get so much sun on a cloudy, foggy day )
Mark my words, you Pats fans will get 1 good season out of him, then after he quits on you, the %$%$%$%$ will hit the fan !!!
Go do a search in the sports forum from when the Raiders signed him a few years back and I said the exact same thing then !!!
Now he's your problem, and the Raiders rid themselves of a 9 million cancer against their cap !!!

MrHunters 04-29-2007 05:51 PM

prolly quit on ya because wasn't really motivated to play every week...its tough when you keep loosing im sure

:hidin:

boot man 04-29-2007 05:51 PM

1 good season out of Moss for a 4th rounder. I'll take it!!
Still waiting on Mike Williams' good season and he was a 1st rounder. ....Umm, I'm just busting stones because I'm jealous of your day.

Squid kids Dad 04-29-2007 05:52 PM

Ron

1ST thing is the Pats are not paying 9 mill a year and I'm sure there are incentives pro & con...I agree its probally for just one year at a time...But we will see..Super Bowl here we come:musc:

BigFish 04-29-2007 05:54 PM

Boy is Ronnie gonna be pissed when he sets league receiving records and brings another Superbowl Championship to the stadium that sits a stones throw from Ronnies house!!!!:bgi:

Personally I am indifferent on the move.....time will tell I guess! I never have been a Moss fan but if he can fit in and play some of the best ball in his career he will win me over quick! I think being on the best team in football may be just the inspiration he needs.....if he does not get inspired by this he will wash straight out of the league for sure!:uhuh:

He quit for the Vikings in a playoff game against the Giants!
Did the same at Marshall !

I think you'll be eating a lot of your words.
The difference between the Pats and the Raiders is Coach and Owner. Nuff said.

fishsmith 04-29-2007 06:13 PM

Moss has seven 1,000 yard seasons and I think 71% of his catches have been for 1st downs. This guy is a player and took a pay cut to catch balls from the best in the business. We got him for a 4th round pick!!! I am so happy.

Moss and Culpepper we one of the best combos in history (for stats anyway)
How did that work out for the Vikings!!!
Like I said, it's a win win for both teams !!!

ProfessorM 04-29-2007 06:15 PM

If he acts up he will be cut simple as that. They, coaches and players, will never put up with his shenanigans I think winning at this stage of his career will do wonders for his attitude. Definitely a win for both clubs, but more for us I think.

doc 04-29-2007 06:31 PM

...now talk about spreading the ball around...randy moss...donte stallworth...kelly washington...troy brown...kevin faulk out of the flat...cant wait to see the pats open with the spread offense in the hurry-up...

Raven 04-29-2007 06:46 PM

its gonna be grand

jbuck 04-29-2007 07:28 PM

He will make every other reciever on that team better just by being there. You can't double everybody. He will make Brady 's numbers better, just because he's 0ne of the best in the league.

Not only is it the owner and the coach, the whole team buys into the team concept. If he starts his crap,he'll get it from every guy on that team. They have already won the big one a few times.

If he don't like it Dalas can have him.LOL

MarshCappa 04-29-2007 07:34 PM

"Now he's your problem, and the Raiders rid themselves of a 9 million cancer against their cap !!!"

I think the Raiders have a lot more Cancer than just 9 Mill! How about like not having a clue how to run a system or even have a system for that matter! Dude lets face it you're team is being run by a fossil who is way beyond his time.

Squid kids Dad 04-29-2007 07:40 PM

Bring on FOOTBALL...I cant wait:D

fishsmith 04-29-2007 08:03 PM

Moss' salary is $3 mill with the Pats this year. 1/3 what he was due from the Raiders.

He wants to Play here. It just takes some people longer to grow up, . . . I'm still working on it. :faga:

bloocrab 04-29-2007 10:21 PM

When I heard the news I wasn't sure how to take it....I am not a Moss fan (I hate inflated egos, not just in fishermen)....but with the talent and discipline that the Pats have...one would think, it can only get better.

time will tell....I ain't countin' my chickens yet.....I'm just hopin my eggs don't rot.

How can you wish for FootBall when it's not even May yet??

BRING ON THE FOOTBALL SEASON!!!! :D

This is the Best quote I read today to that affect......From Yahioo Sports

"Over the years, Al Davis has collected troubled souls as if he were doing a remake of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" rather than building a football team."
