Winter Moth Catepillars

They're back in action; I noticed the car (parked under a maple tree) was covered with droppings.

I hate the friggin things. I sprayed my blueberries a few weeks back but I think I was a week late by the look of the dead buds.
Mosquito's out in force too in my area.

A year later. Still infested. Sick of the droppings all over the vehicles. Had my tree sub come in and remove two large leaders that hung over the driveway, initially because of the caterpillar droppings. But after we saw the condition of these leaders, I think we dodged a bullet. Hollow for most of them. The base of one, in the second pic, was only held together by an inch of live sapwood......

That's fine if you have 1/2 an acre. I have 15 acres of Oak. No use as my neighbors also have 15 acres each and the guy in back of me has 42 acres. They will just migrate from their acreage to mine.

Well, just spray the trees near your house or car.

Is it me, or are the leaves falling earlier than normal? Especially from those trees that were attacked by those caterpillars.
