Thinking bout a new boat

Primarily like 98% of the time in my lake. I am thinking about a Carolina skiff, or something similar. 16-17' with a bow mount trolling motor. A couple questions i have. How is the wake on that style of boat, i would think minimal. All my neighbors bitch about waves, my glorified row boat, Smoker craft 16.5' pushes a lot of water. Also, would it be easy enough to mount a pole or something to tow a skier or tubes? I figure a 50 HP would at least be fun for towing the kid and probably getting a skier up. The Carolina's seem reasonably priced, are they a decent boat?

Carolina Skiff is a great boat if it fits your needs. I personally really like that 18-20' with the pilot house model. Always catches my eye.
