LOTS of rumors & stories that Marion Morrison was a closet homo !

SurfCaster413 07-04-2010 05:17 PM

Rio Bravo is my favorite, along with Battle of the Bulge

Rock Hudson, Randal Scott batted for the same team, nothing wrong with it just saying

BigFish 07-04-2010 05:30 PM

Duke was not in Battle of the Bulge.....that was Henry Fonda! You might be thinking of "The Longest Day"?

Battle of the Bulge is a fantastic movie though!!!:uhuh:

SurfCaster413 07-04-2010 11:23 PM

Just watched "The Shootist" again last night. Great film - the theme of an aging gunfighter coming to grips with cancer.

Great supporting cast also - Jimmy Stewart, Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard (that's right - Richie Cunningham, or for us older folks - Opie), Richard Boone, Harry Morgan (Col. Sherman Potter!) and John Carradine as an undertaker (perfect).

John Bernard Books: "I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them."

ProfessorM 07-05-2010 06:44 PM

the shootist was a great film, his last, great cast too.

SurfCaster413 07-05-2010 09:47 PM

What irony with that movie John dieing from cancer the cowboy that was loved was now old. The best movie to end a mans career ever!
