Ok, my turn is coming up to be in the Hospital...which month would you chose to have your stomach cut end to end?? I need to decide this soon:shocked:

why you getting cut open?

I have to have about 8 inches of large intestine removed and the ends put back together...hopefully they use "pro soft glue" I also told my surgeon that I want to keep the portion of intestine they remove and frezz it, In the Spring jimmy and I are going to use it on the back of a tube instead of a worm and try to catch a bass on my own guts! Awesome!

You should have seen his face(the doctor) when I asked him that, I was dead serious..he thought I needed to be commited on the spot...I said hey, your getting paid and its my body part...I want it! At the least I know a bluefish would take it..It would be awesome to catch a fish using ...Myself!!as the bait..Thats Hardcore!


They said about 5 or 6 weeks, I just want to enjoy the holidays..its a tough call

my uncle had a similar operation..... nasty stuff, but he recovered fairly easily. just do it ASAP so you don't have to worry about it anymore, you might be uncomfortable still on Thanksgiving, but at least when the rest of the holidays hit it will be behind you

but heres a problem.. what if you land the record fish on your own guts. and then they stay hooked (intestines are tough from what i hear) and you catch even more cows. there could be a black market for guts in the striper world. :eek:

I agree. When I had my quad bypass I told the cardio surgeon to do it right away. I didn't want to sit around and think about it.

Just do it :kewl:, Don't think about it, otherwise paranoia sets in, and delays it.

If you catch a record sized fish, it would be disqualified because it was caught on part of a mammal. Only pork rind is allowed, even if it is your own body part.
