Just Reverse Head and Tail

Made a batch of spooks and wasn't satisfied with the "walk" so I did a search on the subject and found one post where someone's spook looked like a reverse pencil. Looking through my templates I found the perfect profile was either a reverse Gibbs Skipper or a reverse Salty Glider. The reverse glider won out as the weight was good for me (1.7-1.8 oz) and she walked really nice and easy. Any other examples of this?

Correction

The glider wasn't reversed head to tail but just omitted the the belly weight, the skipper was reversed and still was pretty good.

As you have noted, both pencils (when worked slow) and spooks/howdies will veer. The shape is not the determining factor. What makes a plug veer is the tail weight pushing against a buoyant nose. The momentum of the weighted tail of the plug, when twitched, pushes the light nose out of the way and off to one side which makes the plug veer. This is why pencils and spooks don't work as well with bucktails. Unless the dressing is very sparse, the drag kills the momentum and deadens the action.
