So what is this ObamaTrade thing

WTH is it?

I wish I completely understood it. Seems to be NAFTA across the pacific. Seems like it will make the U.S. Even less competitive in the manufacturing world.

Generally not until it's too late. The Pols are having it written by those who get them elected. Generally they don't even know 100% of what they're signing into law.

What is it?

It's "Obama-speak" for "wait for us to bend over before you start screwing us"!!!

What would you expect from the worst president in our country's entire history? A sound plan or a self-fulfilling wet dream?

one such protocol, which has been leaked to the public, requires disputes between foreign corporations to be resolved via "panels of lawyers that would stand above and apart from the American courts." Beyond the legal implications of the TPP, Morningstar theorized that the agreement may also be a covert military coalition aimed at ultimately battling China.

hacking us- was a declaration of war essentially

Currently all treaties need to be approved by the Senate by simple majority. Our president is trying to have the Senate pass legislation that gives him full authority to approve treaties without Senate approval and then require the Senate to have a super majority to reject the treaty. Essentially this gives the president the authority to do as he wishes in terms of treaties and takes even more power away from Congress.

Obama trade???

I wonder what we can get for him?

(maybe a draft pick and a liberal to be maimed later?)

Here is a list of political contributions to senators in order to fast track the legislation. Ironically it appears this is a bi partisan effort to sell us all out. Democrats took roughly half the money Republicans did per individual.

More republicans took money than dems it appears. The ill is an Obama baby though

So does that mean the Republicans are harder to buy off? Or that the Democrats put out easier? Or that the Republicans are more greedy?
