Ever Use GoFundMe? Safe?
 

A friend of mine in California had a hip replacement ... a fund was set up for him through the service GoFundMe ... a crowdsourcing fund raising tool ... I would like to donate to his cause ... but am a bit leery with this service ... I did some research on Google and the only thing that came up was about avoiding scams ... but they don't use PayPal, but another payment service ... I would prefer not to have my financial info on too many sites ... any thoughts with this?

I have donated to a friend who has cancer, it is legit and I trust it

My daughter uses it all the time for programs in college. Works great and secure
