Gansett / Newport suggestions

Thinking of taking a ride down on Thursday to see if I can find some albies, itching to mix it up and get my first hard tail. Any suggestions for package store in area to try to score some Rhode Island beers that are tough to come by in mass while I'm there?

Also, should I bring a growler incase I end up heading west to westerly, or do breweries ri only fill their own growlers like they do in ma?

Bridge liquors. They are right at the off ramp of the npt bridge if you are coming from Jamestown. Also.. Wakefield liquors is a good bet to find local beers but bridge has been better lately.

Grey Sail will fill your growler. If you head to westerly #^&#^&#^&#^&s package store has a great selection of beer. If you want a quick bite the malted barley located down town has killer pretzel sandwhiches and they have a pretty good craft beer selection on tap.

If you go to Bridge Liquors make sure to ASK for the Captains Daughter - its generally behind the counter if they have it.

Whalers Brewery in Wakfefield.
they sell growlers and good tasting racks if you are sitting down for a couple. Open 4-8 on Thursday's I think.

I already told Mark at Bridge not to give him any ;) unless he leaves a plug for Eben and Dennis.

Thank you, guys. Looks like most of the breweries down there open up after I am hoping to be on my way home at 2ish. I'll bring some growlers just in case. Will check out bridge liquors.

Just checked myself and Grey Sail isn't open until 4. I would prefer noon or thereabout. Probably need to coordinate that with a night time excursion.

Well, albies get an A+ for sure. Will be putting some more miles on my car in upcoming seasons. Nothing I've caught compares. Great visual strikes as they were taking an epoxy jig on the surface best. Bass at night have been becoming kind of a grind the last two years as fishing have slowed. This was a nice change of pace. Got a nice bass for the tackle I was using, about 32", on an albie snax too but couldn't find a blue to complete the slam.

Beer I'd have to give an A-. It's very good but not quite up there with the top double ipas I've had. Definitely enjoyable and I'd buy it again, but I was expecting more for the hype this gets. I like the label and can a lot. Wish they were tall boys.
