You have to be careful substituting other things for cigarettes .. What if every time you wanted a butt you had a cup cake instead ..

I have the same type of obsessive/compulsiveness, too much of anything.
So, while I gave up the butts, I'm also on a junk food/snack ban as well. lol
But another day, smoke free. I hope all are dong well! Stay strong, fella's.:kewl:

thefishingfreak 01-15-2009 05:09 PM

sokinwet 01-16-2009 09:38 AM

Got ya Ronnie...day 20,872. ;-) I know a lot of guys aren't swayed by the health aspect so..best arguement I can think of to stop....or never start...20,872 x $5 a pack = $104,360!!!

jimmy z 01-17-2009 07:47 AM

Lets have a good one fella's, smoke free!:claps:
How are all doing?

JohnR 01-17-2009 08:00 AM

Other than 1 7 hour period where alcohol was involved (2 weeks ago), I'm at 6 weeks. And that ever so brief relapse sucked anyway....

SuperLoogieCrunchies are about done.

Having a couple commit lozenges per day but houdl be stopping those soon.

Still when I see someone smoking a Marlboro light I want to first bum one, smoke and savor it, than beat the crap out of 'em for being stooopid :bl:

Yep, hypocrite in the making

Hey all,

I just found this thread.

It is the morning of day 9 for me. Using the gum and even though the box states 9-12 pcs per day I am only using 5-6.

So far it isn;t as bad as I thought but Frek said it in one of his posts, I think a lot has to do with where you are in your head.

Anyway...cool thread and I will check in.

Oh yeah, the worst thing so far is my teeth and gums hurt like hell.

Welcome to the good wagon Patrick :btu:

Good luck to everyone else doing it too - Slingah, get your ass back in gear...

Sea Dangles 01-17-2009 03:36 PM

I already bought, two rods, two dozen plugs, two, no four reels. Eight spools of line(braid), since I quit. lol
