Hell Yeah!

Domination has one of the greatest metal riffs ever.Man do I miss Pantera.

basswipe 12-20-2008 06:51 PM

One band I would love see live that I haven't in close to twenty years is Exodus.

ProfessorM 12-20-2008 07:52 PM

Well I have to say it's not my cup of tea but to each his own. A kid that used to work nites with me used to listen to only that stuff. I would have to laugh as I was always asking him what the hell is that stuff you are listening too I can't understand a word the guy is saying. I was probably giving him the same look my mother gave me when I had Led Zeppelin full blast in my bedroom. Turn it down was all I ever heard from her and now I am doing it to my 8 year old daughter just last nite. Come full circle. Carry on gents

Tagger 12-20-2008 09:00 PM

I love quads ,, double bass ,, I love speed ,, fast precision .. and its on the dark side .. love that too .. Is Dimebag the best metal guitarist ever ? Variety is the spice of life .. Nothing like a little Bob Marley "Stir IT UP" follwed by Pantera's F^$%can Hostile . I can see the beauty in metal .. can also dig a chick like Nora Jones .

Still are, they put out a new CD recently. Original line up. A few good ones on there. Low and The Gathering were my favorites. Saw them years ago on the New Order tour. Pretty good show.

One of the days I'll upgrade the computer so I can check out these videos

NICE! I was scrolling down the thread thinking.. "Maiden! Seventh Son!" LOL! I played this album to death in High School and it still gets into the regular rotation. Comcast has a full length Maiden concert video right now. Brazil from a couple of years ago, I think.

Steve Harris is a monster!

That's cool as sh#t, NIB. I've seen Slayer in small venues, but not a basement :D

I saw you had Hangar 18 posted, but I had to add more Megadeth. My favorite thrash band.

Here is One of my friends, Dave Mustane and I..Prior to Dave being kicked out of the band..In my house in 1980 or 81 I'm not sure..
On Dave's shirt it says Metal Up ur Ass.It was the Name of the demo tape that was to be part of their first album. It's what brought em out east from the west coast.

NIB 01-05-2009 09:09 AM

Mustane was a out of control drunk. While they had planned on booting him prior to coming out east. They had a few shows lined up they where dissaster.Between equipment or electrical problems and Mustane just out of control. It was not to be an they %$%$%$%$ canned him..We convinced a few local bar owners to let em play. They already had Hammet lined up.While it went off well.None of us liked Hammet he was a girly boy or worse a poser....
They played Ride The Lightning for 9 of us in my friends Basement to get our opinion. The same basement from the other pic.I remember none of us liked it at first and we told em so..We where wrong of course. Our dislike was due to our allegiance to Mustane.
Ride the Lightning turned out to be one of my favorite albums as was Kill em All.It was all Mustanes music.

redneck24 01-05-2009 08:04 PM

hey nib, how did you hook up with these guys?

That's some cool stuff, NIB. Metallica was one of the bands that got me started listening to metal. And I remember rushing out to buy Killing is My Business.....as soon as it made it into my local record store. Thanks for bringing back some memories from my high school days.

I also heard that Mustaine had to find his way back to California with no money after they kicked him out of the band. Any truth to that?
