Gave plug to our wonderfull leader here.This plug has worked pretty good for me in nj.Just a hair under 3 oz's of fury.
John u should have that Lip bent up to pull the head down an make a nasty wiggle.

If I recall somewhere round 6.5".Spanish cedar.which is light like the red cedar.it was the only thng i could find locally that I could get in 2" stock as the fat part of th body is slightly bigger than 1.5".The spaniard stuff is full o holes so it takes a few coats of primer an sandin to seal em up.

Spanish cedar is much heavier than red. You did a good job hiding that open grain. How many coats of primer did that take. I have a bunch of that stuff, its good for poppers and needles. It is similar to teak but not as hard. Nice plug, I bet it casts good.
