I am attaching pics of this fish slayer lol It's pretty heavy I would guess close to 3.5 oz. Its not that big but heavy wood, or possibly a ton of paint. I bought 2 of them a couple of years back at a fisherman flea market. They had dark yellow or orange paint (repainted many times) and google eyes the move in side the eye like those old doll eyes.

I lost one this past season after about 20 fish, and I am afriad to lose the last one I have. I repainted it myself into a blackfish pattern, I am not the greatest painter. But any help you can give in who made this lure would really help. One more thing, the guy I bought them from said he got them in the mid 80's and caught alot of fish on them.

Any help would be great, I do know that the google eyes were used back in the 80's by a couple of companies in New England.

Thanks,

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Bob Hahn made that. Not 100% sure though. Bob was from NJ if that helps.

It also looks like a big don lure. I'm not sure how long big don has been making them though.

Bob Guillitone, Scott Slocum and I met some guys from Long island on the Back Beaches in Truro in the Fall of 2000 who had a bunch of these LARGE body plugs. They were being made by another guy from LI but we never got his name. Not much but maybe a little help.

I looked at the Big Don lures , these lures (you may not be able to tell by my pics) are much fatter and a narrower tail section that the BG's or any I have ever seen.

Like Piemma said, I also believe they are a Long Island plug. I will do some more research, I luv these plugs and I only have the one left. I need more..lol Thanks for the help guys, we are definitely getting close!
