Who did that?
At PlugFest, the beaded eel on the contest table. It haunts me in my sleep....:claps:
|
I didn't see it ... was that this year of last year ?
|
fred
are you having flash backs again?
|
Don't know who made it but I think about it often(how it's done?).
|
This year. Looked like it would swim like a snake. Really great piece of creative thinking. I want the builder to have his due credit before I make some.
|
Did anyone snap a pic of the contest plugs?
|
bad attempt at humor
|
Was it wood ? Snakey ??? .. I missed it totally ..
|
The head reminded me of a Tagger skin swimmer in fact. Followed by a string of maybe 3/4 inch wooden beads and a long conical tail.. I wish that I'd picked it up and studied it, took pics and blueprinted it. If anyone got a picture of the contest table, please help a guy out....

who did that
Hi I made the black plug; swims like a snake. would make a video but I don`t want to upset some members.
|
it's a whole new concept
so go ahead..........
and have you fished it and hooked up or just test swam it? |
Hey M&M
can you post some more intel on this eel snake lure.. you have tweaked many people with this clever design and fabrication.. we think it is very clever I for one would like to make one as well... chris |
who did that
my sons have thrown them last fall to fresh h2o bass only no salt yet.the beads I call balls[because they are a pain in the]have angled sides for sideways movement.Still R+D ing all the time trying to improve design
|
I think that the eel balls plug is awesome! Please post a video if you can, I don't see why anyone would be upset. Stunned maybe, but not upset... Bravo!
|
a little vid
I am posting this for m+m
Here is a quick video of the snake in action, the gold version was used because the black one was not showing up on the video. Not the best quality maybe will take more when my good camera gets fixed. clicky linky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNsI1...e=channel_page |
Thankyou! That's just what I'd hoped for. :jump:

Very impressive...I saw that too at PF and wondered what it would look like in the water. Thanks for sharing the video!
How did you produce the tail? |

Hey Fred, did you ever make one of these?
|
No, not yet. Just went to the top of the list of to-dos. Those videos ...omg!
|
Masterfully done! I have been going nuts over how to make a jointed eel design to make it swim like that. My hat is off to you!
|
must be some sort of chain running through all those bead pieces, with a larger than normal through-hole?
at least thats where I would start I think. :smash: |
I think there is a FW lure that uses the same concept, it's made by MS Slammer. Amazing concept, looks like a beeyotch to make :uhuh:
