Florence

Shaping up to be a Crusher. Possible CAT4 making landfall in SC/NC. Unless it turns north for us

Guppy 09-09-2018 05:18 AM

Isaac right behind her, big swell next weekend.....

I have 4 Stihls cleaned, sharpened and ready to go. If either hits the golf course will be a mess. I'll be cutting 8 hours a day for weeks after. Don't need it. Been a long season already.

The potential forecast is not good for;
the beginning of my fishing season
albies
Derby

Figures.... just one of those years from my seat.

wdmso 09-09-2018 08:09 AM

if it pushes north like that storm last year that pushed all the albie into Narragansett Bay till mid October I'll take that... But not at the expense of someone else down the coast getting hit

Yeszz, it is a tough issue. Someone is always going to get nailed but when the storms are offshore in late Sept the fishing is nuts ; )

Sometimes you're the nail, sometimes you're a hammer

Models firming up to suckage. Landfall as a Cat3/4. Hopefully will not rude the coast. This one is going to suck

Look like a cat 4 at landfall.

They are going to be screwed in so many ways and the worst of it is probably going to be due to the potential of 30” of rain. Flooding is really going to be bad based on this storm stalling once it’s over land.

Saw report of BMW loading thousands of new cars on ships and putting them out to sea from Charlotte.... crazy. Makes sense I guess. I just would not have thought of that as a possible solution.

They can probably motor north at full steam and get far enough out of the path. I'd think a 600' fully enclosed ship could take some pretty nasty action. I believe the US Navy has moved ships offshore or at least they were going to.

Of course, according to Limbaugh this is all media hype to push a climate change agenda. Wonder how many people he's going to get killed.

South is the way to go I think

The navy has sent all operational ships out to sea already. Latest storm predictions have the storm moving south along the coast after landfall to the FL/GA border.

Talked to my daughter last night, said she's parked her car on a hill and bought wine. Says she's ready :hihi: she's farther inland so they are only predicting about 6" of rain over the weekend

My niece is in Raliegh, they are talking 20+" of rain in that area.

Ships can be OK if they give this storm a large berth. Curious how BMW re-preps these cars for sea after they have already been de-prepped.

Wait - I don't get it - is this Limbaugh's fault or Trump's? I can't keep up.

Anything that can sail has left Norfolk, King's Bay, and Little Creek. With this storm ramping south, bet Mayport is next to sortie. Them Britts won't be able to get hammered in Jax anymore.

Not sure what de-prepping they get if they're just in the lot next to the dock. Might need some more fuel. I don't think they're wrapped.

Limbaugh has done this before, it's seriously reckless. Some people take his lunacy as the truth. Trump feeds the same flames and is in a position to actually influence policy. I guarantee you there are people sheltering because they don't buy the "liberal BS."
