Well????? Where's the Report? How'd the maiden voyage go?

You do realize you scheduled your Maiden voyage on the Same day the Titanic sank :hihi:

Forget the sweetwater get over to Dux Bay. Wish I had a yak yesterday afternoon as they were just out of hook up range on every cast. I still got some but it was a little more work. You would have had a bonanza out there on your yaks this weekend.

BigFish 04-16-2012 07:06 AM

The new yak was like night and day compared to the other...the new steering makes a HUGE difference! It performed better than I could have hoped and the bonus was I took 1 nice largemouth on it to christen the new yak! 2.5 to 3 pounds!! I will have to hit Dux maybe this week......there is word of a possible WEE WEE trip this coming weekend!!!

I would be up for a dux bay trip in the next couple of weeks if the striped ones are around... can't get motivated enough for sweetwater!

They are around and it's a good time for you yak guys seeing no other boats are in yet to speak of. Last night at sunset was a blitz that was just out of my reach in waders but I still managed to hook up here and there. I'll be out there again tonight.

Well it would have to be good for a north shore guy to head down south! :D

Larry I know your a big guy, Im curious as to how close you are to the max weight limit on your kayak. I just bought one and im 25 to 50 lbs under the max and im worried its not enough

BigFish 04-20-2012 09:18 PM

The weight limit on my Pro Angler is 600 pounds and I weigh 310! So.....hopefully I am good! LOL!! I carry about 30 pounds of gear I would guess??

Raven 04-21-2012 05:38 AM

so what does it have Larry ...a pedal (foot controlled )rudder ?

NEXT2NUN 04-21-2012 06:53 AM

Thanks Larry

Rockport24 04-24-2012 10:18 AM

Raven the rudders on the hobies are on the gunwales and operated by hand.
