Dates to NOT have plugfest

How about we chime in with what dates there are other events happening so we don't have conflicts.

we don't want it on the same day as TFCTFN
and we don't want to have it Feb. 27th when Plum Island surfcasters show is.
Not when MSBA show is either , but it won't be that late anyway.

I was thinking we can do it in January some Saturday like the 23rd

I hope to make a call to find a hall tom. if I remember.

any input?
thanks

That will work, unless you are going to an AFC Championship game at Foxboro the next day.... No football on the 31st....

Speaking of football, anyone interested in a squares p00l for the SB? We could start budgeting now for a really big pot....

BigFish 11-05-2009 09:15 PM

MSBA Show is March 6-7 I think?? Early this year!

numbskull 11-06-2009 05:34 AM

More time to build after Xmas would be my preference. Jan 21 seems early.

Back Beach 11-06-2009 07:57 AM

All I know is I'll be there with my bic pen needle...you guys are gonna be floored...or to use a Flapism, "You guys are all toast." :hee:

BigFish 11-06-2009 08:32 AM

Why not have it Superbowl Sunday?? Its over by 3-4 and the game is not on until 6:00???? Get everyone out of the house so we don't have to endure the endless, repetitive pre-game drivel!

You forget us that travel i for one would not like to hear the game on the radio as i am driving home.:smash:

ProfessorM 11-06-2009 09:25 AM

Bruce I looked into the Ted Williams camp and it is out. They have issues with the building, water damage I think, and don't want to rent it out anymore right now. Would have been perfect. If you need help give me a jingle.

Charleston 11-06-2009 09:45 AM

Let's have it in New Jersey :rotf2:

Flaptail 11-06-2009 10:13 AM

Talked with Bruce thisd morning, I am going to check out the Order of Eagles hall just off of Main Street Buzzards Bay. It would be perfect, easy to get to, very large, big kitchen, not that fancy so when the machinery is set up for demos not much to worry about. Plenty of tables. Huge parking lot.

Right by the canal. It's got a lot going for it as far as our event goes.:uhuh:

Salty could be in the same room as all of us. Poor guy had to be relegated to the back closet last year.

I will keep you informed.

BigFish 11-06-2009 10:17 AM

It would be nice to finally get #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& out of the closet! (Insert rim-shot here!):biglaugh:

BigFish 11-06-2009 11:50 AM

Amazing its so difficult to schedule given there is never anything to do in the winter!!!:buds:

BigFish 11-06-2009 11:52 AM

I do not know how difficult it would be John but why not have PlugFest the same day as TFCTFN??? All the out of towners would be here and could attend both??? Just a thought?? :buds::cheers2::cheers2::gu::buds:

Rockfish9 11-06-2009 12:25 PM

Uhhhhh....just thinking here, but in the case of a stray spark wouldn't Salty and NIB in the same room be an explosion hazard?

Ah, no problem with all the bs floating around the room even a class one division explosion proof facility would be rendered disabled.

We'll just live dangerously.

Hey you could ride down with us. You and Eelskimmer in the backseat. Eeelskimmer is hilarious when he starts hitting on the direction chick inside the TomTom.

why would NIB come??
someone building golf balls? or custum clubs?
perhaps to get some hand made tee's?
or will there be some nice golf wear on exhibit?
perhaps some "plus size" plus fours??

the most explosive thing in the room is the kielbasa onion thing that flpa brings every year...

Tagger 11-06-2009 02:35 PM

NIB if you do go Please wear your golf clothes... funny as a basteagd .. knickers,, little hat .. polo shirt .. I won't post pics ,,, honest ..:)

I hope to be Ross, I was worried about earlier in the month when they sometimes get a Sat. game, no problem is it's an AFC champ game, I'd walk there if I had to, been to all of the home ones so far.

Slipknot 11-07-2009 09:53 AM

Well, I was hoping to have it on a snowstorm just like the old days so January was my first choice so all you procrastinators, deal with it :grins:
Joe, it will be good to have ya , I WILL call you this year to remind you, count on it.

So, any conflicts with Jan. 23rd? (other than the prom queens not being ready)

I'd like to get the ball rolling earlier this year. thanks for the input you knuckleheads now go spin some wood:uhuh::fishin:

BigFish 11-07-2009 10:36 AM

Is that a Sunday?? Cause I have church that morning???:rotflmao:

ProfessorM 11-07-2009 02:01 PM
