Back when I was a kid, Goodyear Tires did a Christmas album every year.

Naw, LP, 33-1/3.

We had some 78s that my parents bought, though :rotf2:

My parents called a record player a "Victor-ola". :jump1:

Well, we had a Stromberg-Carlson Victrola - with radio - in our living room that was the size of a Buick Roadmaster...:laughs:

And yup - I do remember putting 78's on it as a kid, under Dad's watchful eye so I didn't scratch 'em...:hihi:

Good call, Goose - the first time I heard it performed was by Kathy Mattea - she does a great job of it on her album 'Good News'

Sarah McLachlan's CD also gets play -

And depending how far into the rum and eggnog we get Phil Spector's Christmas album gets cranked...:buds:

YouTube - Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)"

Forgot to add one - the acapella group Straight No Chaser - I was going to put it in the New Christmas Music thread, just picked up the CD 'Holiday Spirits' yesterday after hearing it in the store

Kind of a Beach Boys/doo wop style - turns out they're from Indiana University, my bride's alma mater - started out as a chorale group at IU and a video 5 or 6 years later of an old IU performance went viral on YouTube with 8 million hits and got them an Atlantic Records contract last year

Gonna go out and pick up the second album later since it's a big hit with the Mrs...
