Live Lining Bluefish

Haven't fished with my brother in a couple years and had the opportunity to take him out this past wednesday. Launched in Plymouth and headed straight to the bank. Started trolling ~5am under ideal conditions.

Lots of bait, whales and marked some good blocks of fish. But the only takers on the squid rigs were blue fish. Which leads to my question;
- How does one properly live line these bastages for tuna?
- Would you if you only only 50s/70s or is this for giants only?
- Any other wisdom/advice?

Thanks guys.

If you are doing that then you want to use big gear because your now targeting big fish.

Bridle them like you would a small yellowfin when fishing for big blue marlin. Most guys fish them off kites to keep the line mostly out of the water.

bridled is what i'd do and i'd even use zip ties to keep the hook on the fish if you aren't good with rigging floss or rubber bands. 70s would be ok i would think with enough backing.
