My Pink Cadi-Yak
It is actually not pink but more of a faded red. Picked up a used Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 Tandem (2 person) for taking the kids out and possibly doing a little fishing too. Came with seats, paddles and PFD. Took it out for it's maiden voyage today to see if it had any leaks and it looked OK. It felt very comfortable and stable but I got a taste of paddling in the wind - this stuff isn't as easy as it looks. I thought that this would be a good way to get exposed to kayaking without breaking the bank and I think the kids will have fun too. My littlest guy actually sat in it today for about an hour pretending he was going all over the harbor - too funny! Anyway, I'll be watching the Kayak forum now and have already gotten some great tips. THANKS! :)
