Sox Pitching Trade

ESPN is saying that all that is needed is Curt Schilling to waive his no trade clause and he is a Red Sox......again. Trade will invovle Casey Fossum and prospects going to the Brewers and Richie Sexson going to Arizona. Nothin like another old high priced injury prone pitcher to add to the Sox rotation.......

This is the first time I have ever posted in this forum......weird......

argh, are you kidding Burkett was one of the best Sox pitcher's after he gets out of the 1st inning;)
I say get rid of that bum Pedro, he can take Noarm and Manny with him

That first inning made "Way Back" Wasdin look good

If we had Shilling this year it might not have gone game 7

Get Scilling no matter what the cost and if the Sox can double up and swing a deal for A-Rod.....call Balfour and have the Championship rings made!!! Sorry spelled Schilling! But get him even though my spelling is bad!:uhuh: :uhuh:

Kind of psyched for the Sox. They need a pitcher of that caliber.

Proves that they are dead serious about winning and have the money to think this way.

I am a Yanks fan and was kind of hoping that the bombers picked up Schilling. Regardless, I think that this and few other moves will put the Sox in good shape to head to the series soon.

Gotta put this bullcrap about a curse behind FOR GOOD.

Oh well...........

Hey cat if burkett was so good he'd be staying. Clean house and get some winners in fenway. Damon for one can stay, what has he been here for 2 or 3 years. Why is it that he's the spokes man after games. How much are they paying nohit, what MIA got your tongue and your bat. Manny no habla glove.

Bigcat 11-25-2003 11:04 PM

I think the sox got a few people's attention when they put Manny on wavers and no one claimed him.
Noarm was the invincible man come the last 2 months of the season. I think it must have been the poon-tang he might have been getting, that he could not keep his head in the game?

CAL 11-26-2003 01:09 AM

I hope you are talking about the extra curricular poon, cause that one he just married is NASTY!!!! :yak4:

Schilling isn't injury prone... his injuries last season were not arm related or knee or anything long term.

He had appendicitis and a broken hand... I think he took a line drive of the hand.

IMO, he's 1A giving the sox two aces, two stoppers... add Lowe, Wake and maybe Kim, Arroyo, whoever as #5... pretty nasty if they all stay healthy.

I would be far less worried about Schilling's health than Pedro.

I heard last night the following on the Score... I think that's what is swirling around.

Nomar to Anahiem for Glaus

Manny & Arroyo to Texas for A-rod

Red Sox have scheduled a news conference for 2:30 this afternoon? Hmmmmmm.......might we have landed a Big Fish???:laugha: I hope so!

BigFish 11-28-2003 04:12 PM

Scilling deadline extended 24 hours by MLBB. 5:00 tomorrow afternoon is the new deadline, sounds like they are hammering out a few details??:wall:

Slipknot 11-28-2003 05:59 PM

Schilling even posted a message on the Red Sox messge board forum.

Time will tell.
