And I am Done!

Once again, I will be voting against a candidate in a presidential election....
I do not see the candidate I want to back however...
Both sides in the impeachment argued like ten year olds…. Pathetic.
Like Romney, I am there for 80% of policy, but cannot ignore the rest of the picture....
And the following tweet, issued AFTER the acquittal vote, solidified my utter disgust with this man.... https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/...74713992990721

Raider Ronnie 02-06-2020 07:18 AM

Not from my experience, Ronnie. That would have been Reagan, by a long shot. And unlike now, my life was vastly improved after that administration's first three plus years.... Not the case today.

Note; I am not going to call you names, nor say your view is right or wrong. Simply presenting my past and current experiences.

Ross you are in the wrong place if you think names and insults don’t come your way if you disagree with their views, you possibly will be spared as you aren’t a regular. The bar for greatness, for civility, for right not wrong and adherence to laws has been set so low, it’s really amazing at times.

There is no acceptance here that we all have a right to our views of this administration and when we express our disgust over what we see as wrong, the band of bullies bring insults, even going so far as to involve your family members. In a forum like this it’s easy to act that way as there are no immediate consequences, no penalty for ones actions, it’s not unlike the bullying children are subject to on social media. I don’t loose sleep over it, it’s more of a commentary on their characters and that crap rolls right off my back.

Take away the phones, the internet and put those same remarks in someone’s face and the consequences are usually immediate and might have you looking up at blue sky from your backside.

I to voted last time against this con man and viewed him just like all the republican hypocrites voiced so passionately when running against him and will again. Go back and listen to the 2015/2016 videos of Graham, Cruz, Romney and others when describing Trump to a tea and look at them now, only one has a pair.

SD and his side kicks can now had their two cents.

I won't vote against him. My Line That Won't Be Crossed (1A/2A) is under far greater threat from Socialist/Dems than my severe disdain for Trump.

The politics and reactions of both sides have been abhorrent. Our country is sick and neither side is capable of healing it.

Ross, agreeing with 80% of policy is about the same as me. My main issues with him are on the conservation end of things. I also do not like the mans behavior one bit, although he makes me chuckle now and again. Like JR said 1a and 2a are very important in my book as well. IMO our country is heading in a good direction economy wise, trade imbalances corrections, border security, military strength. If you waste your vote no way you'll get someone who'll you agree with on 80% of policy. I try to stay out of this forum except to peek in for amusement :).

Excellent point about finding another with 80% parallel position, Don. As is second amendment.
However, I fear we may look back at this period and say, "what the hell were you/we thinking? How could you not see this developing?" History will be the judge, but the man's personal characteristics and lack of morals are too dangerous to ignore, never mind him being in the penultimate office of the land.
It should be up to his supporters to demand some change in his MO. Otherwise he continues to just be empowered to tweet and destroy any and all who cross him....

On accomplishments they are close but other than getting shot by a lunatic, Regan didn’t come close the having to deal with the media bias, the internet and people on fishing forums bashing every single move he made and the democrats going completely off the deep end.

If I didn't proceed with giving a crap about a spelling error on occasion, you wouldn't have the opportunity to show everyone how petty you are, I'm just helping you show your true colors.

Yeah, I guess your right. Reagan didn't come close... Especially when you look at turnover, convictions and jailing of presidential advisors...

Sorry Ronnie. I have to consider the big picture. And this president is doing as much bashing as he is getting in all media forums...

And I am sick of being lied to by the Chief Executive. Pretty simple what he needs to stop doing.

Tell me this; What would you do if Leo were to start a pattern of repetitive lying? To you? Over and over again? Would you just start accepting what he says as truth because he keeps saying it? Or would you tell him to stop?

afterhours 02-06-2020 03:30 PM

Ross, if ANY politician/elected officials lips move you have better than even odds are they lying....just saying.

No actually but I see the without was dropped to with, but there you are proving my point, but seriously I worry about your cognitive skills if you can’t grasp the meanings with a misspelling here and there, or their:jump:

That you point out people's misspellings as if that is a reflection of their intelligence, but you show no intelligence in your actual posts? Yes I do see the irony.
