HelenH Canyon Trip 2012

Never too early to start thinking and planning the next trip in Sept 2012. Similar weekend to '11 would be 8th/9th, weekend right after Labor Day). Last time was a 2 day trip, leave Hyannis 7AM Sat and return 5PM Sunday. The official HelenH schedule for the 2012 is not yet posted.

Cape Cod Fishing Boat | Deep Sea Fishing | Cod Fishing MA

Here's a summary of last year's trip (you might even see a few SB'ers):

Fabulous 2 Day Tuna Trip | Helen H Fleet

Someone to be unnamed suggested a 3 day trip this year? Should we make this a "sticky"?

iamskippy 03-05-2012 07:32 AM

Im in no questions unless the back and neck give out, i would like the 3 day, and i know that mans name! Lets do it!

Does the HH do limited trips? I'd like to do a 3 or 4 day limited.

JusT waiting for them to put there schedule up to pick a date. I'm going to book early so I can get a bunk up top. They do limited trips kev but even the regular trips arnt packed. I think last year we had 24 people. At night there were only 10 guys fishing at any time. I'm gonna bring an 80 and get that big tiger shark

You can reserve bunks?

niko 03-05-2012 12:36 PM

You get on the boat in the order you booked. Bunks are first come first serve

Don't forget there is a limit of three yellowfins a man, so a three day trip might be too long.

Padawan 03-05-2012 06:37 PM

i think 2 days is good

I have the schedule, they were at the Worcester show, Paul you want me to mail you a copy?

JackK 03-05-2012 06:59 PM

I lost a probable sword last time I was out, so I'd be plenty happy taking a few yellows on troll/jig and dropping squids for swords all night :). I think two nights would be best, at least for me- just imo.

The way they worked it last year: 3 yellowfin/day/man was the quota. Don't forget mahi, albacore and wahoo.

For me it might take 3 days to get 3 yellows!

Padawan 03-05-2012 07:30 PM

For me with my luck who knows. lucky if 1 porgy!!!!

niko 03-05-2012 07:35 PM

LMAO

Padawan 03-05-2012 09:21 PM

What was the cost of this trip last year per person?

iamskippy 03-05-2012 11:02 PM

I would rather fork over the 450 for the 3 day vs the 400 for ea 2 day but thats my opinion.

Paul i may still have your address in my gps, if not please pm it to me.

Thanks for the post Phil :)

JackK 03-06-2012 09:41 AM

Niko do you mean one night (2 day) or two nights (3 day)? Seems like there's more interest in a trip that has 2 nights. I'm with skip- depends on cost- but if I'm forking over $400, I'd rather throw an extra $50 down for another full day of outfishing everyone on the boat :rotf2:
