The suspects, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, received welfare benefits as children. As an adult, Tamerlan received them for his family through last year, the Massachusetts government says.

i was wondering why there was never a mention of his coworkers, job, etc....There are pictures of this guy getting out a mercedes benz. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can he be on welFARE?

Apparently his wife at the time was the bread winner, reportedly working 60-80 hours a week.

He was a real piece of work, but seeing how this is Mass, welfare is about as hard to get (as an immigrant/citizen) as a sunburn in July!

Maybe the state bought him the car?
Remember, the welfare system is so full of waste and corruption, it's not impossible to think that they could have provided him with whatever he needed. Probably not, but possible.

If every momma was correct: "my baby couldn't have done what they said he'd done, he's an angle" no city/country would need a police force!

And of course the governor won't comment on the welfare aspect of this, as if he needs to open his yap to try and "explain away" this issue!
