pretty good season as far as ice fishing goes..started in mid December and ended a little over a week ago.. the lake I spend most of my time on still has 15" of solid ice... but it's time to move on..here's a few pictures from the season..no particular order...this winter had it all... glare ice... ice covered with water.. ice covered with deep snow... then back to glare ice.. back to slush and deep snow.. thickest ice I fished on was 22"... the thinnest was 6"...

the one of the picturs shows the water flushing down the hole... it was going down with such force it kept setting off the tip ups... I had to chase down the sline dart as it took off swimming ON TOP OF THE ICE.. in 4" of standing water..

The February thaw produced a scary ridge/crack keeping me from my white perch grounds..

as you can see... some times the fishing was good.. other times the fish were TINY... one of the islands hosts a tee pee...it has been there for 3 years.. no one inhabits it in the winter... the only way to the island is by boat or across the ice..
