outdoor Shower
Has anyone built an outdoor shower. Starting the process and looking for some ideas.

Use cedar for all the wood and use pex and shark bite connectors. Have shut off valves inside the house and a way to drain them.

Dig base first and provide for drainage away from foundation.....
PT posts 4x4s. Then wrap with cedar as Eben said. There are also PVC panels available for walls, or pre-made kits. Consider a seat.

Make it big enough so you can have some fun in there too. ;)

I built one while ago. I put down a cement pad(3") over 4" of crushed stone over the layer of hard pan in my yard. Then using 2x4 sills anchored to the cement. The bottom sill has notches cut in it for drainage away from the house. The walls are texture 111 painted on the inside as are the studs.I used translucent plastic panels for the roof leaving the eaves open for ventilation. If you can place it so it gets sun for most of the day it will be useable later in the season.

At my Mom's house we used these outdoor water spigots (2) (hot and cold)

Then we cut a hose in half and mark Hot and Cold at both ends. It makes installing and breaking down the system so much easier. No repairing burst pipes come spring time.

Take the shower/tub assembly and mount it to a piece of composite decking. At the end of the season take it off the wall of the shower and store it in the basement if heated, so the assembly won't freeze. Coil up the hoses and store with the shower assembly. I recommend the Tub port for filling up hot water buckets, it really comes in handy.
