When will you start yakking?

So when will you start yakking? I will probably start in mid May. I don't have a dry suit to start now. FishHawk

I'm usually paddling all year around for the exercise...weather permitting.

I've already started in some freshwater lakes for largemouth. Had a nice day last week. Will start saltwater in mid-May in wet suit and dry top.

Went out fishing today in SE CT, water at 50 degrees and very comfortable as the weather cooperated with us, we stayed out for around 5 hours and had a blast fishing

Check out NRS, KFS, Kayak Center. They have some good stuff for cold weather/water gear. Not to start the whole kayak and waders (bootfoot) debate , but thats what I wear. Along with a dry top and a tight wading belt and PFD.

Good luck out there, be safe. The fish are here.

My first trip was Sunday on the Raritan.

Went a few times but I think I'll skip the wind.

I just got a new kayak and I'm itching to get out but I'd like the air temp to be above 60 and then wind below 20 mph lol
